Weekly Blog - A1/Week 6
It's the end of Week 6 and what a busy week it has been at Shoreside! As well as looking back over all of this week's highlights, this week's blog contains information about some key events for next week so read on!
Pupils from across school have enjoyed the Rainbow Trust's 10th birthday celebrations. Year 4 headed to an athletics tournament on Tuesday... and won the whole event! Well done to all of the Year 4 for their brilliant teamwork! Year 3 enjoyed an interests/hobby day on Wednesday in which they tried out a range of activities. Year 6 enjoyed a neon disco on Thursday, before our whole school birthday party on Friday! What a lot of fun!
Christmas Cards
Your child will be bringing home a Christmas Card design today that they have created. In an initiative led by the PTA, this is a fantastic opportunity to purchase cards for your loved ones that have been designed by your child! As well as getting these fantastic cards to distribute, you will be helping raise money for school funds as the PTA will receive a percentage of the profits. Thank you for supporting with this exciting opportunity!
Halloween Movie Night - Next Thursday - Reception to Year 6
On Thursday 17th October, all enrichment clubs will be cancelled as we transform every classroom into a cinema for our Halloween Movie Night. Organised by Shoreside's PTA, any child in Reception to Year 6 is invited to stay behind after school to watch a film in their classroom with their classmates. The PTA will give each child who has purchased a ticket (which can be done so by scanning the QR code on the poster) a delicious snack bag! The movie night runs from straight after school until 4:45PM where dismissal will be from the usual classroom doors.
School Photographs
On Monday 21st October 2024, we will be having school photography day. This is where each child will have their picture taken. On this day, any classes who should be attending in PE kits should wear school uniform and bring PE kit to change into. For any pupils in Pre-Nursery/Nursery who are not due to attend on Monday due to having different sessions, further guidance will be sent out but you will be able to bring your child to school to have their photograph taken.
Thanks for taking the time to read this week's blog and we hope you enjoy watching the highlights from this week! Have a lovely weekend and we look forward to welcoming you all back to school on Monday.
